PROGRAM
INTEM 2006 is the second international conference on Emergency Medicine to be held in India. The purpose of this meeting is to increase the awareness of the importance of Emergency Medicine in standardizing emergency care, developing pre-hospital systems and planning for disaster preparedness.

The conference will consist of lectures, workshops and discussion.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of the conference, the participant should be able to:

  • Develop educational programs for Emergency Department personnel including workshops and lectures.
  • Suggest practice guidelines for Emergency Department clinicians.
  • Comprehend the importance of standardizing Emergency Medicine in the Indian setting.
  • Network and exchange ideas regarding the development of pre-hospital systems in the Indian setting.
  • Discuss the appropriate length of training for physicians and pre-hospital personnel.
  • Develop plans for disaster preparedness.
