American Academy Of Emergency Medicine / India
(AAEMI)

January 9, 2004

Dear Friend:

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year. Please join me in congratulating Dr.Kumar Alagappan and the members of the board of trustees 2003 of AAEMI for a job well done.

As a member of this young and energetic organization, you will join a group of medical professionals who are keen on contributing their time, efforts and expertise to improve Emergency Medical Care in India.

With your help and participation, we will work towards improving the pre hospital care, disaster preparedness and the emergency care given in the current “Casualty Departments” of hospitals in India. Our long term goal is to make Emergency Medicine a recognized specialty, in India and help teach emergency medicine to physicians, students, nurses and paramedics.

Together, we will help this organization grow, join forces with the Society of Emergency Medicine, India (SEMI) and work as a team in achieving these goals.

You are a very important part of this team and I encourage you to invite your colleagues to join AAEMI as members.

If you have not already done so, please renew your membership for 2004. Our membership fees will remain the same as year 2003. They are as follows:

Life member: $500, Annual member: $100, Residents: $50, Medical students: Free.

Our first business meeting will be in New York, on Saturday, March 20, 2004 from 9am to 12 noon. You will be notified of the exact location for this meeting in the next couple of weeks. Please plan on attending this meeting and bring your ideas in making this organization, a successful one.
I look forward to seeing you in New York.

Sincerely,

Sam Kini
President, AAEMI 2004
